Who can join the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM)?

Anyone involved in the care of critically ill patients who resides in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Tennessee

How much are dues?

Dues are $45 for one year for any discipline. 

Do I have to be a National SCCM member to join the Southeast Chapter?

No, you do not need to be a National SCCM member to join the Southeast Chapter, although it is encouraged.

How do I join?

  • For brand new members who would like to join national SCCM and the Southeast Chapter
    1. Create a new profile at: https://store.sccm.org/Profile/CreateProfile.aspx
    2. Once this is created, you will receive an email with your username (this also serves as your membership number).
    3. Go to the following website: https://www.sccm.org/About-SCCM/Join-SCCM
    4. Click on “Join Now” and log in when prompted.
    5. You will be taken to a page where you can select the type of membership you’d like – Associate, Professional, or Select. After selecting the tier of membership you would like, click “Next” twice.
    6. On the following page, make sure you select “ Southeast Chapter” and click “Next”.
    7. Continue throughout the checking out process, and pay due at the very end.
  • For brand new members who would like to join the Southeast Chapter only
    1. Create a new profile at: https://store.sccm.org/Profile/CreateProfile.aspx
    2. Once this is created, you will receive an email with your username (this also serves as your membership number).
    3. Log in using your username (member ID) and password.
    4. Go to the membership store at http://store.sccm.org.
    5. Search store for “ Southeast Chapter” and click on “Details” under “ Southeast Chapter Membership”. You will see the timeline of your new membership under “Term”.
    6. Add to cart and click on “Pay Now” to complete purchase.

How do I renew my membership?

  • For current SCCM/Southeast Chapter members who would like to renew
    1. Log into your account at sccm.org.
    2. Under “Member Center”, click on “Renew or Upgrade”.
    3. Click on the link that says, “Renewing Now”
    4. You will be taken to a page where you can select the type of membership you’d like
    5. Associate, Professional, or Select. After selecting the tier of membership you would like, click “Next” twice.
    6. Next, make sure you select “Southeast Chapter” and click “Next”.
    7. Continue through the check out process, and click on “Add to Cart” at the end.
    8. Select “Pay Now” to complete the payment process.
  • For current Southeast Chapter members (non-SCCM) who would like to renew Southeast Chapter membership only
    1. Go to http://store.sccm.org and log in with your member ID and password.
    2. Search for “Southeast Chapter” and click on “Details” under “Southeast Chapter Membership”.
    3. You will see the timeline of your new membership under “Term”.
    4. Add to cart and Pay Now to complete purchase.
    5. For current SCCM members who would like to join the Southeast Chapter
    6. Go to http://store.sccm.org and log in with your member ID and password.
    7. Search for “ Southeast Chapter ” and click on “Details” under “ Southeast Chapter Membership”. You will see the timeline of your new membership under “Term”.
    8. Add to cart and click on “Pay Now” to complete purchase. Note: your Southeast Chapter membership dues may be pro-rated to line up with your national membership renewal dates.
